The Garden Ice Arena Hockey Skills Clinics offer young hockey players a fun, fast-paced environment to develop and refine their skills. Designed for youth athletes of all levels, the clinics focus on skating, puck handling, shooting, and game awareness through structured drills and small-area games.
Led by experienced coaches, players receive positive instruction that builds confidence, teamwork, and a love for the game while helping them reach their full potential on the ice.

Powerskating Camp
Checking & Body Contact Confidence Camp
Led by former AHL and ECHL player Brian Lee, these two-day camps will improve fundamental skating skills and prepare players for appropriate body contact and checking. Skaters will attend BOTH DAYS.
Focus Areas:
Skating control to minimize time and space for the opponent
Stick checking, poke checking, lifting and locking the opponents stick
Teaching players how to reasonably lean into each other to gain possession of the puck
The proper way to give and receive a body check (2014 and older)

Build confidence and sharpen fundamentals with our structured, station-based practices. This program is perfect for house players looking to develop in the off-season and travel players who want extra ice touches and skill work.
Each session focuses on high-repetition skill stations designed to improve skating, puck control, and overall hockey IQ in an engaging, fast-paced environment.

8U-16U (Core) Level Clinics
16/18U (Advanced) Clinics
This 6-week program is designed for 2011 birth years and older who played travel or high school hockey last season and are preparing to compete at the 16U or High School level for the 2026–2027 season.
Players will participate in high-tempo sessions focused on pace, decision-making, and game-ready habits to help them transition confidently into the next level of play.

Ideal preparation for 16U or High School tryouts

Tuesdays from April 7 – May 12

Learn to Play
Designed for 2020 birth years and younger, as well as older players who are brand new to the game, this program focuses on building a strong foundation in the core skills of hockey.
Players will work on skating, passing, shooting, and stickhandling through engaging, station-based practices with an emphasis on fun small-area games that promote confidence and puck touches.

Keep the pace high and the fun even higher with our fast-moving 3v3 League at The Garden Ice Arena. This program is designed to maximize puck touches, improve hockey IQ, and give players more game action every week.
Program Highlights:
Two half-ice games each week
Divisions for 10U, 12U, and 14U players
Teams formed by Garden coaches and staff to ensure balanced competition
Fast-paced format focused on skill development and creativity
Schedule:
Games take place on Thursdays from April 9 through May 14

3 vs 3 League
Spring Travel Program
Designed for 2012–2016 birth years currently playing travel hockey — or players looking to make the jump to travel next season — this program provides high-level, skill-focused training in a structured team environment. Players from both inside and outside our organization are welcome.
This is a great opportunity to stay sharp in the spring while preparing for the demands of travel hockey. Ideal for players serious about preparing for next season’s travel level and continuing their development this spring.

Combined, skill-based practices
High-tempo development environment
Flexible scheduling support when needed
Open to players inside and outside the organization
No additional fall tryout fee for players registered in the Spring Travel Program

Learn to Skate
Learn to Skate is the foundation of our skating programming at The Garden Ice Arena. Everyone who wishes to play hockey or figure skate needs to start with this class. 30 minutes of lesson, 30 minutes of free skate
Spring Session: 6 Weeks
Classes running 4/13 - 5/18
Mondays 6-7 pm, Advanced LTS 5-6 pm (basic 4 and above only).
Must have Garden Skating Academy Annual Membership - $30.00
Pay only once per year. 2025-2026 membership good through 6/30/2026.
If signing more than one skater, please fill out a separate form for each skater.

The Hockey Skill Camps are led by the experienced Garden Ice Arena coaching staff. Our coaches bring a strong background in youth hockey instruction and focus on teaching proper fundamentals, skill progression, and game understanding in a positive and motivating environment.
Each clinic is structured to ensure players receive quality instruction, individual feedback, and an engaging on-ice experience that helps build confidence and a love for the game.
